Yet another successful camping trip. It was amazing to see the destruction at Ohanepecosh. Last November a huge rainstorm hit Washington and we rec'd 18 inches of rain in 24 hours (or something like that). Due to the rain roads were washed out up in the mountains and one of them was the road to Paradise (miles above our campground). The road washed out and ran into the campsite, wiping out campgrounds, knocking over trees and ultimately changing the path of the river. It was amazing! As usual, the kids loved playing in the dirt, riding their bikes and being with friends and family. I have to admit this was the best year since having kids. The older ones pretty much entertained themselves and we just had to keep an eye on Nicholas, who just played with the others (mostly)! We can't wait for next year.
