Garage Progress

Well we started our garage in April. We have had to jump through a few hoops but the process has begun. Progress is being made every weekend and it is so fun to see it all come together and to pass all the inspections. Denny and Joe are wonderful and do such a magnificent job. We are so glad they were willing to help us with this addition. when it is all finished we will have a 2 car garage with lots of storage and an upstairs we will be using for a game room/media room for the kids as they get older and want friends to come over and play. It will be nice to have a place for them to feel like they can entertain and I can feel like they are in a safe place.
Natalee riding with builder Bob (Denny) as he begins to clear the land
Alex (only a day or two after his surgery) taking the same ride
The kids looking on with excitement as the foundation is poured.
Lou (our concrete guy) pouring our foundation
Time for the slab to be poured on such a beautiful and hot day.
David even came home so we could cement our family prints.
The rest of the Grover family hand prints
the framing has begun
The first floor is almost done.
Look at the second floor-this is a huge garage
It is all framed in and electrical is hooked up.
The roof is on.

WOW! Look at you! You have become quite the blogger in the last couple of days! Holy cow! That's cool you've added pictures of your garage in progress. That looks great! What are you going to do with the upstairs of your garage? Oh!... cute idea to put your hand prints in the cement!

Oh never mind... I just re-read your blog and you're making a game/media room! How cool is that!

man that garage is somethin' else. I need to come over and see it in person. I can't wait to show Ryan- he'd be impressed. So why did you need a garage that's bigger than your house??

whoops,I just re-read your blog to see if I missed something and I certainly did! got the answer- cool game room up there. Ryan's parents did the same thing except it was the second floor of their house with four small bedrooms (2 on each side) and a main room in the middle and they held youth dances up there for ward activities! see one more idea to add to your list of fun stuff to do in there!
