Our 11th Anniversary-Trip to Disneyland Part 2

A dream is a wish your heart makes... My dreams are coming true everyday I spend with you!

David and I haven't been anywhere- with no kids- in a very long time and we decided this year was the time to make it happen. So we found places for our kids to go and we took on the role of kids by going to Disneyland. It was great fun! We went on every ride as many times as we could- some lines were long but most were about 10-15 minutes of waiting. Our favorite rides were space mountain and California Screamin'. We went on each of those 3 or more times. It was a great way to spend our anniversary. We were so tired after our second day, we ordered dessert from The Cheesecake factory and then headed back to our hotel room- We spend a total of 22 hours in two days at Disneyland, my feet ached but there was a smile on my face the entire time. To be able to spend uninterrupted time with my dear friend and husband was pleasant and rewarding. To be reminded of our first few days together as husband and wife (we spend our honeymoon in the same place) was enlightening and joyful. One thing is for sure- while the years come and go, both of us grow up and grow closer. Our kids keep us on our toes and we look forward to taking them the next time. *Every ride we went on we commented on which of our kids would like it- concluding that they will all have a blast when we come as a family.

We had to take a picture by this sign. Happiness is what you make of it. I do have to say- David makes me happy! Happy Anniversary!!!
This ride shoots you up 180 ft in 1 sec (0r something like that). Talk about fun! I love the thrill of feeling your stomach in your chest!
We snapped this underneath Indiana Jones while waiting for someone to rescue us. Do we look scared?!
Disneyland is so magnificent during the holidays with all the decorations and lights. There is no place like it. We had to take a picture of one of us by the tree. I nominated David.Look at the castle all decorated in lights. Imagine the fireworks above and it is a delightful sight. We stood and watched in awe. 4th of July doesn't even come close.
David posed with "mr incredible" just for the fun of it.
This is space mountain and the couple behind us talked with us the entire time (Mike and Ann). Later they bought us Hot Cocoa and we watched the fireworks together.
David liked the scenery (me included) and wanted to capture the moment.
This is the Indiana Jones ride. Our jeep broke down, the lights came on and we got to take pictures. Our jeep was right underneath Indiana Jones, we could have reached up and grabbed the rope, if we weren't locked in our seatbelts.
Star Tours- had to snap a photo of C-3-P-O!

Thanksgiving Holiday Memories

We had a great Thanksgiving Holiday- spending time with family and friends. I continue to be thankful for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ- that we are all one big eternal family. I am thankful that my friends and family love me, forgive me, bless me and share their lives with me. I am thankful I am continually learning of the great potential I have and that I know I can always improve and be better than I am today. (Thank goodness for that!) I am especially thankful for David and his patience, kindness, love and understanding for me. My children teach me everyday of how to be humble, patient, forgiving and unconditionally love. I find myself wanting to be like them more and more. Thank you for experience which helps me to learn and grow and love.

My trip to Utah!

It was great fun to fly, with no kids, for 5 whole days with my brothers and sisters. The occasion being the blessing of Hannah! It was so fun to meet my newest little niece. Pictures just don't do her justice- She is beautiful!!! I got there Thursday and went to The Lion House for lunch with Sabrina and Mom and then headed down to Provo to stay with Jacob and Sabrina for the night. Then the rest of the time I stayed with Bonnie and Rick. Every day we were together, all of us, playing games and eating. I think I ate worse than I have in over a year and boy, did my stomach feel it. I even won, at Phase 10- against Rick, Joe and Dad. We got to go to the Church History Museum and to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing in the Music and the Spoken Word. (Talk about powerful!) The trip was great and memorable! I look forward to visiting again with my family. It was rather odd, being without David and the kids- I felt like something was missing and I wanted them to be part of the memories.

Halloween 2007

This year Halloween was a bit different because I wasn't there for Trick or Treating. I actually had to go to class that evening. So David took the kids to trunk or treating and after all the candy they got there he decided it was enough and took them home for pizza and Fantastic Four. Nicholas loves his candy! In fact, as soon as he got his candy he wanted to sit down and eat it. He was thrilled to say "Treat" and receive one without getting told "no". Alex and Natalee had their school parties and enjoyed dressing up at school. Natalee dressed up as a ballerina wedding princess, Alex wanted to be Dale Earnhardt, Jr (the same as last year) and Nicholas wore the blue power ranger outfit that alex had a few years ago. I can't believe how much candy they have--it will last for an entire year. I divided it up by chocolate, chewy candy and hard candy. They get two pieces a day-as long as they eat their dinner. If I don't monitor it then all of them will have cavities. (Natalee already had to get a crown on her back molar because she had a cavity and while eating a piece of candy the tooth broke.) It was a fun Halloween -it came and went so quickly, except for the candy it almost feels like it didn't happen.

Hannah Jennelle Lee is Born

I must say it is a joy to welcome this beautiful little girl into the Lee Family. She was born October 2, 2007 to Jacob and Sabrina Lee. I haven't met her yet. I will be going to Utah to meet her the first of November. She was long awaited for. It is fun to know that Alexis and Hannah will be so close in age. When we have familee reunions- they will have someone to play with.

Natalee and Kapri go to Cheer Camp

This was a fun day. Kapri invited Natalee to go to the Kentlake cheer camp and of course Natalee was so excited. We arrived at 10am and dropped the kids off (April and I). For me it was 4 hours with no kids. It was great. I went to visit Alexis and then to Jakoby's football game with April. We then headed over to Rooter's BBQ- best BBQ ever- to see Verl. Right before 2pm we showed up to pick up the girls and they did a performance of what they had learned. So cute!!! Afterwards we went to April's Dad's Friend's pumpkin patch and picked out some great pumpkins. It was such a beautiful, sunny day. A bit cold but so nice to be out in. Then we headed to grandma and Grandpa's where Natalee had fun helping Grandpa in the yard. That evening we went to the Kentlake football game where the girls got to cheer with the "real" cheerleaders. Natalee didn't last very long- she was tired and cold- but we stayed until half time. By that time it was late and time to go home. It was a busy day but we had a great time with our friends and family.

Nicholas' Allergic Reaction

This was interesting! Nicholas, Natalee and I sat down for a bowl of split peas and popcorn for lunch. Nicholas started coughing and wouldn't eat anymore. I thought he may have choked on a popcorn kernel but he was breathing so I got up to get him something to drink. He didn't want it but I made him drink it because he kept coughing. He immediately threw up, which I found kind of strange. So I undressed him and comforted him. I sat him on a chair while I cleaned up the mess and noticed little hives around his lips. I immediately realized he was having am allergic reaction. So I got the benadryl!!! Good thing i had some. I started seeing his lips and face puff- I felt like i was in a movie. Anyway I wrapped him up in a blanket and called the consulting nurse. At this point he was itching and uncomfortable but at least breathing. The consulting nurse was going to have me go to the ER but could see the benadryl was working and he was getting better. Needless to say- he is OK! But is majorly allergic to split peas. (just so you know split peas are a legume-like peanuts- different from the vegetable peas) Anyway we now have an epi pin, in case it happens again because his throat will most likely close up next time and we'll have to call 9-1-1. Here are the photos of our experience.

Natalee's picture day & Alex meets Alexis!

Natalee loves to dress up but hates to have her hair done. I couldn't believe that she actually let me do both in one day and on picture day too! She looked M-ah- velous! Her pictures turned out really well too!

In our other photo on this page Alex is meeting his cousin Alexis for the first time. He wasn't too thrilled about holding her- a bit nervous, I think! But Alexis was OK with him holding her. The moment lasted long enough to take the picture and then it was over. Alex and Alexis- isn't it fun.

Cousin Mikey's Birthday Party

We had a great time at Mikey's Birthday party. We played games, visited and ate cake and ice cream. It is always fun to celebrate birthday's. It's hard to believe it's been 7 years already. How the boy's have gotten so big and so smart is just fun to watch. Happy Birthday Mike!
